Cry of the Orphan represents a collaborative effort between Focus on the Family, Hope for Orphans (a ministry of FamilyLife), and Show Hope (founded by Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman). The goal of this unified campaign is to heighten awareness of the plight of the 130 million orphans around the world. The scope of this problem is too big for any one person or organization to solve, but we can join forces to make a difference.
Together, we desire to communicate that “YOU are God’s Plan for the Orphan” – each of us with our own role to play in caring for His children.
Cry of the Orphan is highlighted by two specific campaigns: Cry of the Orphan in November and the National Foster Care Prayer Vigil in May. Information on both can be found at www.CryoftheOrphan.org.
