Wait No More®:Finding Families for Colorado's Waiting Kids
Two years ago, Focus on the Family held our very first Wait No More event. As a result of the collaborative efforts of agencies, churches, government, ministries, and families, the number of legal orphans waiting in foster care for adoptive familes has decreased from nearly 800 to just 365.
That's great progress, but each one of those 365 still waiting deserves an adoptive family. And with over 3,000 churches here in Colorado, we believe it's possible to find loving, forever homes for each one of those 365 kids. Which is why we're hosting our third Wait No More event in Denver, Colorado.
Join us on September 18, 2010 at Grace Chapel, 8505 S. Valley Highway, Englewood, CO 80112. You'll hear more about the kids who are waiting, the process of adoption from foster care and ways to support adoptive familes. In addition, agency and county representatives will be on site to answer questions and help you get started.
So come explore what the Lord may be asking you to do. Together we can ensure that no child in Colorado is waiting for someone to call mom or dad.
